Leadership is one of the cornerstones of Future Business Leaders of America, and on Aug. 1, Wisconsin reinforced its reputation as a leader when three representatives from the state were appointed to the 17-member FBLA National Board of Directors — a strong showing that underscores Wisconsin’s growing influence within the organization.
Jan Imhoff of Portage High School is serving as past chair; Caleb Green, from the School District of Owen-Withee, is serving as the FBLA middle school adviser; and Jen Jackson, Business and Information Technology Consultant at the Wisconsin DPI, is serving as state leader.
"Having Wisconsin represented at the national level shows all the good we are doing in our state to support our FBLA members and grow the organization,” Jackson said. “Being able to go through this with Jan and Caleb is exciting. We know Wisconsin is a leader, and we can share our real-world experiences to help it improve our members and advisers."
Imhoff has served on the National Board of Directors since 2022 and will end her service in 2027. Green and Jackson began their terms on Aug. 1 and will serve until 2029.
Having three voices from Wisconsin shape the future of FBLA nationally reflects Wisconsin’s FBLA success at home. Wisconsin FBLA was established in 1954 and had nearly 6,500 middle and high school members from 237 chapters for the 2025-26 membership year. Wisconsin FBLA is coming off a strong showing at the National Leadership Conference held in June in San Antonio, Texas, where 33 events placed in the top 10 in the nation. Wisconsin is also the proud home of the 2026-27 National Parliamentarian, Ishika Pulimamidi, from Middleton High School. Wisconsin FBLA is not all business all the time — community service is also a huge part of being an FBLA member. As a state, Wisconsin was the top fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association, the national partner organization.
FBLA is one of six Wisconsin Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) and the largest business student organization in the world, providing opportunities to middle school, high school, and collegiate students interested in a future in business and participating in leadership, community service, and competitive event opportunities.
