Channing Milford named Hamline women’s lacrosse head coach

Milford brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience at both the collegiate and international levels. Most recently, Milford served as program director and varsity head coach for Bellaire Girls Lacrosse in Houston, Texas, where she led a staff of three coaches and built out recruiting support for her athletes. Her coaching résumé also includes stints as National Tournament Team head coach for USA Lacrosse, program director for men's and women's lacrosse at Rome City Institute in Italy, varsity and JV coach at NSU University School in Davie, Florida, and assistant collegiate coach at her alma mater, Young Harris College.

A standout player in her own right, Milford competed for Young Harris College before going on to represent both the Italian National Team and the Mexican National Training Team internationally. Milford holds a B.S. in biology with minors in chemistry and psychology from Young Harris College, and is multilingual, speaking English, Italian, and Spanish.

Coming in my seventh year coaching, I'm proud to bring my experiences in coaching and playing collegiately at the Division II level, directing programs, and experiencing the game on an international scale," stated Milford. "I can't wait to bring my passion for the game to Hamline and get to work!"
