MADISON, Wis. — University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Anthony Massa and UW-Whitewater’s Gradin Taschner have been named to All-America Teams for the 2026 season.
Massa claimed third team honors from D3baseball.com and American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings, while Taschner was a fourth team selection from D3baseball.com.
Massa is the second player in program history to receive All-America accolades from both organizations, joining Jonathan Kelso (2021). Massa led the WIAC with a .799 slugging percentage, 1.304 OPS, 71 hits, 58 RBI and 15 home runs, while ranking second with a .433 batting average, and third with 54 runs scored and a .505 on-base percentage. Massa had a 19-game hitting streak to start the season and produced a season-high four hits against Illinois College on March 20 and Edgewood University (Wis.) on May 4. He rewrote UW-Platteville's single-season record book, breaking records in hits, home runs, total bases, runs batted in and slugging percentage.
Taschner’s selection marks the 12th consecutive full season that UW-Whitewater has landed at least one player on the D3baseball.com squad. Taschner made 17 appearances, including eight starting assignments, and boasted a 5-0 record. Out of the bullpen, Taschner tallied five saves, the third most in a single season in Warhawk history. He led the team with a 1.84 earned run average and 0.96 WHIP. Nationally, Taschner ranked 15th in ERA and 12th in WHIP out of qualified pitchers. In total, Taschner pitched 49.0 innings, fanning 57 batters during his 2026 campaign.
