Heating and cooling can account for nearly half of your home’s energy usage. But today, new technology, including Wi-Fi and smart thermostats, is making home heating and cooling much more efficient. And thanks to a bevy of tax credits and incentives, homeowners can begin to feel the temperature change that much sooner.
According to Eric Sherwood, general manager at All Comfort Services, this combination of smart home tech, credits, incentives and even advanced filters has resulted in higher energy efficiency, lower costs, increased comfort and better indoor air quality.
Nick, an electrician from All Comfort Services, installed a meter socket and riser piping for a customer in Stoughton. Funds for the installation, which was part of a 200 AMP service upgrade, came from the Inflation Reduction Act, Wisconsin, and Focus on Energy’s Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate program.

Tucked in Madison’s Waunona neighborhood just a block from the lake loop, Off Broadway Drafthouse is more than a neighborhood hangout — it’s a living piece of local history. Built in the early 1900s, the building has worn many names over the years. In 2015, husband-and-wife team Joe and Rita Klinzing gave it new life as Off Broadway Drafthouse, a name that nods to its location off West Broadway and its past as a community gathering place.
“The imagery that you see within our restaurant, along with the repurposed wood, all came from the original building,” said Joe, Off Broadway Drafthouse co-owner. “The murals are all from the Wisconsin Historical Society and depict things in this area that are of historical value.”
