Attention has been lavished on the drinks menus at Bonfyre, which includes more than 50 wines by the bottle and a long list of wines by the glass; draft and bottled beers; specialty cocktails; and an impressive list of high-end spirits.The food menu, likewise, reflects attention paid to American restaurant trends without being overly predictable. A few items that in many places are dully conventional rise above expectations here. Bonfyre serves one of the best house salads in Madison. It's beautifully presented on a large white plate, with glistening lettuces, ranging from dark red to light green, marinated red peppers and a complex vinaigrette that made everything spring to life. The Caesar salad was also a well-executed, basic rendition of the classic salad.
