The early winter cold snap gripping Madison most likely won't end until Sunday, and even then it won't be very warm.

The National Weather Service said the one bright spot is sunshine Friday through Tuesday.

The day-to-day outlook:

  • Thursday night: Partly cloudy, low around 11. Wind chill values between zero and 10.
  • Friday: Sunny, high near 21. Wind chill values between zero and 10.
  • Friday night: Mostly clear, low around 14.
  • Saturday: Sunny, high near 27.
  • Saturday night: Mostly clear, low around 16.
  • Sunday: Mostly sunny, high near 31.
  • Sunday night: Partly cloudy, low around 18.
  • Monday: Mostly sunny, high near 32.
  • Monday night: Mostly clear, low around 21.
  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny, high near 33.
  • Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy, low around 27.
  • Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, high near 35.
