Madison native Phil Hellmuth extended his own record by winning his 15th career World Series of Poker bracelet on Wednesday at the Rio in Las Vegas, the WSOP reported in this post.
Hellmuth earned $485,082 by winning a $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em competition that was the 71st event of the 2018 WSOP.
Hellmuth, 53, now has a record 134 cashes and lifetime earnings of $14,555,566, WSOP reported.
Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan and Phil Ivey are tied for second with 10 bracelets.
