Mount Horeb senior Travis Klassy, who played football for the Mount Horeb/Barneveld football team, announced via Twitter that he has orally committed to play football for UW-Platteville.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound defensive back was on first-team selection as a defensive back/all-purpose player on the Wisconsin State Journal/ All-Area football team.

Klassy was a two-way standout for the 9-2 Vikings. He intercepted seven passes and had 30 tackles, including one tackle for loss. He was a first-team all-Badger North Conference performer and was selected as a Wisconsin Football Coaches Association all-region pick. On offense, he had 39 receptions for 604 yards and eight touchdowns.

He tweeted: “Excited to announce my decision to continue my academic and football career at UW-Platteville.”
