Three more fan favorites have committed to play in this year’s American Family Insurance Championship.
Big-hitting John Daly and international stars Miguel Angel Jimenez and Colin Montgomerie will be in the field of the PGA Tour Champions event to be played June 22-24 at University Ridge Golf Course.
Daly, a two-time major champion, won his first Champions title last year at the Insperity Invitational.
Jimenez, a Spaniard and a four-time winner on the Champions tour, has 21 international titles and played four times for the European Ryder Cup team.
Montgomerie, from Scotland, has won six times on the Champions tour and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2013. He has 41 international wins and played eight times for the Ryder Cup team, serving as captain in 2010.
Tournament host Steve Stricker and fellow Madisonian Jerry Kelly were among the first group of players to commit, along with Bernhard Langer, David Toms and Joe Durant.
Others who have committed include Marc Calcavecchia, Steve Flesch, Fred Funk, Paul Goydos, Jay Haas, Gene Sauers, Esteban Toledo and Duffy Waldorf.
