Slime-time football: Nickelodeon broadcast of Bears-Saints playoff game has NFL fans in stitches
From celebrity impressions and virtual slime to Minecraft-inspired highlights and kid-friendly football lessons, the Nickelodeon broadcast of the New Orleans Saints' 21-9 rout of the Chicago Bears in the NFC Wild Card game Sunday took social media by storm with an entertaining take on the game.
With Nickelodeon star Gabrielle Nevaeh Green calling the game alongside broadcaster and former NFL player Nate Burleson and announcer Noah Eagle, and actor Lex Lumpkin reporting from near the sidelines, the "Nick-ified" coverage created a buzz with its fresh approach.
Check out some of the best moments below and see what fans had to say about the schoolyard analogies, an unfortunate slip of the tongue ... and all that slime:

The Nick telecast is doing a really great job explaining the game in a clear, not condescending way. Also, more slime.

Between the slime, graphics with Nick characters, and a girl in the booth, my 6 yo daughter has never been so engaged in a football game.
Watching more games on Nick has already been requested @NFL.
