With the Green Bay Packers reportedly tabbing Matt LaFleur as the newest head coach of the storied franchise, there has been no shortage of reactions on social media.
Everyone from NFL experts to Monday-morning quarterbacks seems to have an opinion on the team's decision to go with the Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator, and they're not afraid to let the Green and Gold faithful know what they think.
Here are some of the better reactions on Twitter on Monday night after ESPN broke news of the pending hire:
Let's be honest
If we’re being honest, Matt LaFleur only took the #Titans OC job as a short-term stepping stone. He wasn’t a Vrabel hire. He showed he can install and run an offense, even though he didn’t have nearly enough talent to execute it effectively. Packers saw enough to hire him.— Robby Aces (@RobbyAces) January 8, 2019
If you can dodge a wrench...
Just wait till next year
Packers hired the Titans OC? Rodgers gonna be running the read option next year— A. Sosa (@_ASosa) January 8, 2019

Raiding the bargain bin?
Packers continue to be cheap.— Fernando Rosales (@909homeloans) January 8, 2019
Let me get in on that
How do you like 'em now?
@Patticus2 With Matt LaFleur reportedly landing Packers head coaching job, the 2013 Redskins' staff looks even more impressive. Mike Shanahan's offensive staff had Kyle Shanahan as OC, Sean McVay leading TE's and Matt LaFluer coaching QB's. All three are HC's in NFC now.— Coach JJ Jefferson (@coach_TwoJs) January 8, 2019
Players before coaches
Nope. Packers first need defensive players then coaches— Art (@artw60) January 8, 2019
Get used to this
Wait, that can't be right?
I'm so excited!
As a Packers fan, I’m excited about the LaFleur hiring. Change was needed and he is known to be creative offensively. I’d rather have GB evolve as the league does than hire someone who has stale ideas. Looking forward to seeing how things go!— Chris Buege (@cdbuege) January 8, 2019
Knowing your role
Get ready for a challenge
Congrats to LaFleur. I’ve known the dude for 10+ years now, played for em twice. I love the hiring. Dudes very bright, very creative, knows how to attack defenses, has had great teaching and the biggest thing-he’s gonna coach the HECK out of 12 and challenge him DAILY! @packers— Dan Orlovsky (@danorlovsky7) January 7, 2019
Know what you like; like what you know
Man do the Packers have a type:— Will Brinson (@WillBrinson) January 7, 2019
Matt LaFleur - 39 years old - Titans OC (1 year)
Mike McCarthy - 43 years old - 49ers OC (1 year)
Mike Sherman - 46 years old - Seahawks OC (1 year)
Mike Holmgren - 44 years old - 49ers OC (3 years)
(Yes I'm ignoring Ray Rhodes. Do not @ me.)
In case you didn't know...
I’m surprised the Packers hired the mastermind behind the completely forgettable 2018 Titans offense over the guy who went 35-40 at Texas Tech.— Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) January 7, 2019
How time flies
I’m five years older than the head coach of the Green Bay Packers. I need a drink.— Aaron Nagler (@AaronNagler) January 7, 2019

A story fit for the movies
What a story, from being and average joe to beating globo gym. Now the head coach of the packers.— josephterzi (@joeterz) January 7, 2019
Looking like a long-term move
The Packers ultimately decided LaFleur wasn't just around for the success of Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan, he was an integral part of it. At 39, this could be a long-term move for the Packers for Rodgers and beyond.— Peter Bukowski (@Peter_Bukowski) January 7, 2019
