For fans of the University of Wisconsin football team, Jonathan Taylor's outstanding day at the annual NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis comes as no surprise after the running back's record-setting time in Madison.
The two-time unanimous first-team All-American and two-time Doak Walker Award-winner posted an official 4.39-second 40-yard dash Friday night after his first two runs unofficially came in at 4.41 and 4.42 seconds.
Taylor, who weighed in at 226 pounds earlier in the week, turned in the fastest time for a running back despite being the third-heaviest at the position.
Check out Taylor's performance below and see the reactions from fans, fellow former Badgers and NFL insiders:
Seeing is believing
Pulling away from the pack
He would know
Unofficial but still outstanding

And we like it like that!
A class act
Tear it up @JayT23 !! Always been lightning fast.. and always seems to have to prove skeptics wrong. Nobody in CFB combines true greatness with deep humility, class, and work ethic any better than JT. Pleasure to cover him for 3 years. I’ll be a fan on Sunday. https://t.co/Whrz8vbiYR— Chris Fowler (@cbfowler) February 29, 2020
Ready to take the league by storm
Game recognize game
He can jump, too
And not just far!
What's in a name?
We can dream
Busting out the receipts
Be afraid, be very afraid
Shout-out to Badger Nation
Joining an elite club
As real as they get
Watching Jonathan Taylor (@JayT23) run that 4.39 40 had me thinking back to his 72-yard dash against Michigan this past season.— George Balekji NBC15 (@GeorgeBalekji) February 29, 2020
Badger running back has put it on tape for the last three years, tonight was just another reminder of what he can do. pic.twitter.com/N8OCRRcu47
