Sydney Hilley will return for one last season as setter for the University of Wisconsin volleyball team.
Hilley, a two-time first-team All American, announced her decision on her Instagram account. “Not hanging up this jersey yet. Let’s go @badgervb!!”, she wrote below a photo of her that declared “One more year.”
Defensive specialist Giorgia Civita also said she will take advantage of the bonus year of eligibility to return to play in the fall. Civita, who transferred to UW from Wichita State last year, averaged 2.30 digs per set and had 16 service aces in her first season at UW.
And libero Lauren Barnes announced earlier this week she also will return. Barnes averaged 4.50 digs per set in earning second-team All-American honors.
