Player to watch: Ivy Smith Jr. went 11 of 12 from the free throw line and finished with a team-high 17 points in Grambling State’s 69-68 win over Southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday night. The junior guard leads the Tigers with 5.1 assists per game.

Travon Bunch is a Racine native. … The Tigers finished 13-5 to finish first in the Southwestern Athletic Conference last season but were ineligible for postseason play due to low Academic Progress Rate scores.
