Badgers fans vent outrage on Twitter after Wisconsin shredded by Michigan Wolverines
Wisconsin State Journal reporter Jim Polzin was swamped by replies after asking Badgers fans on Twitter what they thought of No. 9 Wisconsin's 77-54 loss to the No. 7 Michigan Wolverines in a Big Ten battle Tuesday night at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Here's what fans were saying after the Badgers fell to 4-2 in conference play:
Sign of the times

Avert your eyes!
Is it over? Whew!
— Rob Hernandez (@RobHernandezGLF) January 13, 2021
Turned it on when it was 69-29 and turned it off when it was 69-32. Thanks, Trevor Anderson, for burying that 3-ball before I could get to the remote! pic.twitter.com/cTQ7rJCLXE
Still relevant
Gonna re-up this reply from the last game. Seniority, poise, and skill are awesome. But it's been clear the we've been "out-energied" several games in a row. So when you meet a team with equal skill but way more energy/effort, this is what you get.https://t.co/29z2xFVlJl

On a different level
Give credit to Michigan, they looked awesome. The Badgers are one of the best 20 teams in the country but not one of the best 10. Michigan IS one of the best 10. UW just doesn't have the athletes to compete but can still make a run in the tournament with the right matchups.

Too much to overcome
Cannot go thru 10+ possessions wo/ scoring
— Marty Steindl (@M_Steindl) January 13, 2021
MI did nothing wrong, played great, shot great
UW step slow all night
Offense was not fluid/ sharp
UW would not beat them playing 6 on 5 tonight!
Refs swallowed whistle most of 2nd half
Better days ahead- tough one tonight#OnWisconsin
Leave no trace of it
Burn the film. Gather the ashes. Burn them again.

It happens ...
They played pretty good defense too!!!

Just block it out
In big ten basketball, some nights you just get slaughtered and what’s more important is how fast you put it behind you.
— AJ Donaldson (@AJdonaldson_1) January 13, 2021
Use it as fuel
Michigan is undefeated for a reason. Overpowered the Badgers. Wisconsin has to regroup and look forward to Rutgers while remembering this beat down when the Wolverines come to Madison on February 14th.

Was bound to happen
For the first time this season, Davis looked like a freshman.
— Dan Croak (@djc1023) January 13, 2021
It's not over yet
A poor showing on the road against a team that is under-ranked and a final four contender. I still see Wisconsin as a top 16 team. Fighting with the pack for 4th in big ten behind Iowa, Illinois, and Michigan. Don't write them off yet. Bad stretch Reuvers/Potter/Davison.

The quest continues
need to burn that one from memories. Players and fans. 😬
— Jenny Scherer (@jenny_scherer22) January 13, 2021
Glad they get another shot at Michigan in the Kohl Center again in a month.
Maintaining perspective
Move on...A long crazy season, next play next game next shot. It only counts as one win for Michigan, one loss for the badgers.
— Mark Massey (@mfmass) January 13, 2021
We've seen this before
Felt akin to games last season before King left: sloppy, disjointed, and desperate much of the game. Michigan was pitch perfect. I expected defeat but nothing that lopsided. Time to learn, adjust, and grow.
— BethAnn Meier (@BAMeier) January 13, 2021
Something seems off
Just a gut feeling, but I think there is something very wrong with Reuvers and Potter.
— Mark Lisheron (@marklisheron) January 13, 2021
Credit where credit's due
Give Michigan credit for a dominant performance.
— Ben Bromley (@ben_bromley) January 13, 2021
As is so often the case, Bucky lacks scorers who can get to the rim off the dribble.
Worth the price of admission
Here for all the Fire Gards lmao 😂😂 I love delusion

Knocked for a loop
Got punched in the face the first 2 rounds. Rest of game, just out there trying to survive without swinging back.
— George Stacy (@George88063490) January 13, 2021
In other words, threw away game plan and winged it after the first 10 minutes. Michigan ripped the heart out of our leader.
Only a matter of time
When the Badgers finally face Iowa and Illinois, Garza and Cockburn are going to make Reuvers wish he had filled out that T-shirt.
— Gareth Sleger (@gsleger) January 13, 2021
Grasp away
I think UW had a nice little 9-0 run. Something to build on... Grasping at straws here...
— Corey Otis (@CoreyWOtis) January 13, 2021
Not as bad as it seems
UM is that good, we’re a notch below them unfortunately. Forget this one and move on.
— Kurt Sagendorph (@ksagendo) January 13, 2021
Teachable moment
This is a game Wisconsin needs to forget. Learn from it and move on. We are better than that.
— Bill Goodman (@BillGoodman9) January 13, 2021
What day?
— Van Bassindale (@VBassindale) January 13, 2021
Ready to rebound
Let’s see them bounce back. Tough night but happening now is better then later.
— jason haack (@HaackJayd) January 13, 2021
Just that simple
Michigan hot, Badgers not
— Michael Martin (@mjmartin557) January 13, 2021
Another challenge awaits
Better move on or Rutgers will do the same
— Brian Gile (@briangile) January 13, 2021
Well, she wasn't wrong
My wife said I had to change it once they got down 40
— Michael Knoebel (@knoebel_WI) January 13, 2021
Won't be the last time
— gospeedracergo (@bdgrdoc) January 13, 2021
Enough said!

Okay, just one more
