ASHWAUBENON — A lineup which did little wrong during a season-opening eight-game winning streak is now struggling for the Madison Mallards.
Ben Anderson’s fifth-inning single drove in the only run during Tuesday’s 3-1 loss to the Green Bay Booyah in a Northwoods League amateur baseball game in front of 1,140 at Capital Credit Union Park.
The Mallards (11-4) have scored five runs during their three-game losing streak. They struck out 12 times against the Booyah, who improved to 9-6 with their second straight victory and are tied for second in the Great Lakes West Division behind the Mallards.
Nick Pogue took the loss, giving up two runs on six hits in five innings. He struck out three and walked three.
