This is a plea to the woman I saw on a bike, riding into the Arboretum on Friday evening.
Please do not ever put your baby in a flimsy front pack, and then ride with that baby on a bike, as you were doing that night. You also weren't wearing a helmet. If you fell off that bike, your baby could be crushed by your weight and could suffer life-threatening injuries that may not be repairable.
You have free articles remaining.
You could also sustain significant head injuries, and you might not be able to care for a badly injured infant. You'd have to explain to authorities and loved ones why you put this baby at such risk, and you could be charged with child endangerment.
Please walk with that baby or have someone watch your precious gift if you need to ride your bike. And get a helmet.
