Lowery will work hard for District 37 -- Laura Gottlieb

Vote for Abigail Lowery to replace the incumbent legislator in Wisconsin's 37th Assembly District. The incumbent, John Jagler, R-Watertown, does not deserve to keep the seat.

The two candidates offer sharp contrasts: Lowery supports public education, Medicaid expansion, fair redistricting of legislative maps to end gerrymandering, and clean water and environmental regulation.

The incumbent has shifted tax money from public schools to private ones. He refused federal money to expand Medicaid insurance. He supports gerrymandering. And Wisconsin Conservation Voters has given him a 0% rating.

Worse, the incumbent has been missing in action. That was true even before COVID-19. The 37th Assembly District deserves a representative who will work hard for constituents.

Lowery's entire adult life has been spent in public service. A former special education teacher in the public schools, and a library and housing board member, she has twice been elected to the DeForest Village Board. She has has been an active, communicative and productive trustee. Her past work history suggests the truth of the statement on her website, at www.loweryforwi.com: “I will listen to my constituents and fight for what they need.” Vote for Lowery on Nov. 3.

Laura Gottlieb, Madison
