The first sentence of Wednesday's State Journal story, "Payoff starts in 25 years" reads: "It would take 25 years for state taxpayers to see a return on the billions Gov. Scott Walker wants to invest in a project that would bring Taiwanese electronics giant Foxconn to Wisconsin, new state estimates show."

That is a straw man argument.

How much would Wisconsin lose over the same 25 years without the jobs and support services that Foxconn will be providing and require beyond their own payroll?

For those who might be hired, the return on the investment isn't 25 years. It's instantaneous.
