Hooray for David Maraniss. He was absolutely right with his criticism of Tuesday’s State Journal headline, "President wants apologies," as were those of us who expressed our concern via phone or email.

And the condescending tone in Wednesday's State Journal editorial, "Don’t confuse our news with our editorials," which implied that those of us who objected to the headline do not understand the difference between headlines and editorials, was incredibly insulting. We know better. And so should the State Journal.

The pathetic excuse regarding time and print space was appalling. It was almost as appalling as the president's tweets, which started all of this.
