A rural Westby man had a medical emergency before dying in a crash Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
Thomas Davidson, 68, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Highway 14 in the town of Coon, the Vernon County Sheriff's Office said.
The investigation showed Davidson was going east on Highway 14 near Hellwig Lane shortly before 2 p.m. when he had the medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle.
"The vehicle went up the guardrail, causing it to overturn and flip off the guardrail, coming to rest on the roof in a ditch," said Sheriff John Spears.
Lifesaving measures were attempted but were unsuccessful. Davidson was wearing a seat belt.
