Las Vegas, here comes Madison.

Locals who love going to Sin City will have the chance to fly nonstop from Dane County Regional Airport three times a week, thanks to Frontier Airlines.

The discount flyer announced the new service Thursday.

“We are extremely pleased that Frontier Airlines has decided to add new service to the popular leisure and conference destination of Las Vegas,” said Bradley Livingston, airport director.

The nonstop flights will start Aug. 15 and will be on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Departures from Madison will be at 2 p.m., with arrival in Las Vegas at 3:42 p.m. (Pacific time). The return flights will leave Vegas at 7:55 a.m., and arrive in Madison at 1:12 p.m. (central time).

Costs vary, but the Frontier website at www.flyfrontier.com shows the cheapest fares to be about $49 one-way per person.

Nonstop service from Madison is available to Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Detroit, Minneapolis, New York, Newark, Orlando, Salt Lake City and Washington, D.C.
