Nobody was injured early Sunday morning when shots were fired in an East Side gas station parking lot.

The incident happened at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday in the Kelley's Market gas station lot at 2601 Shopko Drive, Madison police said.

"An employee said people arrived in two vehicles and were outside arguing near the gas pumps," said police spokesman Joel DeSpain.

"The shots came as those involved returned to their vehicles and pulled away."

Two shell casings were recovered by police.
