“The preliminary investigation indicates Patterson accompanied a friend to the parking lot of 5154 Anton Drive, where a prearranged transaction for drugs was going to occur,” police said.
“During the course of the interaction, a disturbance broke out between two males and Patterson, resulting in a single gunshot being fired by one of the males.”
The suspects fled the scene at the New Fountains Apartments, but officers got several leads on details about the drug transaction, leading to Jackson’s arrest in Columbus, police said.
