A former teacher and current teacher in the Reedsburg school system were ticketed by Reedsburg police for allegedly flattening two tires on the high school principal's pickup truck during high school graduation Friday night.

Tracy Chambas, 44, of Baraboo, who teaches at Webb Middle School, and James Reynolds, 50, of Hillpoint, who used to teach at Reedsburg High School and now is in the Weston school district, were identified as the vandals when security camera video was reviewed, police said.

"The two were cooperative with the investigation and took responsibility for their actions," said Reedsburg Police Chief Timothy Becker on Wednesday. "They characterized it as a prank."

The "prank" involved taking out the valve stem pins on two tires of Principal Rob Taylor's truck, causing the tires to go flat.

Reynolds and Chambas were cited for disorderly conduct and were released pending a municipal court date.
