A 28-year-old man was arrested Saturday on tentative charges of stalking and burglary after following a teenage girl home and entering her home, according to Madison police. 

According to police, the incident happened around 3 p.m. on the South Side. 

The 16-year-old girl took a bus from the Pflaum Rd area near La Follette High School to the south transfer point, Madison police reported.

The girl told police that the man followed her from the transfer point to her house near the 1100 block of Hackberry Lane, then walked away. The girl called police, but when officers arrived they could not find the man. 

Then the man came into the girl's house and she called 911 again. This time, officers were able to locate the man, who was arrested and taken to jail.
