Leaders of six young Madison companies had a chance to chat with West Coast investors in late October as part of an annual trip organized by the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce.
DotCom Therapy, a startup offering online speech therapy, won seats on the trip by taking top prize in the chamber's Pressure Chamber pitch contest in August.
Other participants in the Silicon Valley voyage were Cardigan; Datica; EatStreet; Health Myne; and Simple Machines.
The two-day trip to San Francisco also included a tour of Zendesk, the customer-service software company that has a Madison branch, and a dinner hosted by the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation.
The goal was to "get the ball rolling on generating future investment and activity," chamber spokesman Erik Greenfield said.
