Nonn's Flooring, a Middleton-based retailer, has announced that it has purchased Malkin's Flooring in Menomonee Falls.
Adam Nonn, president and CEO of Nonn's, said that the 18,000-square-foot store northwest of Milwaukee will continue to operate under the Malkin name and that existing staff will be retained.
Malkin's, located at Interstate 41 and Highway 175, was founded in 1979 and purchased in 2001 by Marty Schallock, a long-time Malkin's employee. Nonn's was established in 1984 by Ken Nonn as a flooring company but has expanded its offerings to include countertops, cabinets and appliances. In 2014, appliances were added to the inventory after American TV & Appliance closed its doors. Nonn's also hired more than a dozen former American employees.

Nonn's has locations at 7550 Graber Road, in Middleton; on the North Side of Madison at 5952 Haase Road; and on Waukesha's east side at 1616 Paramount Drive. The purchase of Malkin's gives Nonn's a larger presence in southeastern Wisconsin.
“Malkin’s Flooring is a strong company with a trusted brand name and a proud history,” Nonn said in a release announcing the purchase. “It’s staffed with talented and dedicated people who continue the company’s long tradition of success."
