MobCraft crowdfunding

The label is attached to a MobCraft beer bottle at the House of Brews, where MobCraft currently makes it crowdsourced beverages.

MobCraft Beer founder and president Henry Schwartz took on the "sharks" of "Shark Tank" Friday night hoping that one would bite.

The ABC television series features a panel of investors -- "sharks" -- who give entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their business concepts. Those concepts are either picked up by some or all of the investors, or let go.

In the case of Schwartz and MobCraft, the sharks didn't take the bait.

Schwartz's brewery lets the public decide which odd concoctions should be brewed.

MobCraft was founded in 2012 and was the first company to take advantage of Wisconsin's crowd-funding law in 2014 when it raised about $75,000.

The company has been brewing its beer at House of Brews in Madison, but hopes to open a facility of its own in Milwaukee this summer.
