The Madison office of Kraus-Anderson Construction Co. will build two more retail stores — in Woodbury, New York, and Centerville, Ohio — for national outdoors outfitter Cabela’s. The two locations will be the 25th and 26th Cabela’s locations for Kraus-Anderson, which also built the Sun Prairie store, opening April 30.

A commercial general contractor and construction manager, Kraus-Anderson is headquartered in Minneapolis. Since 1998, it has built close to 40 percent of the Cabela’s stores in the U.S. and Canada, most of them through its Madison office, working in a dozen states including Texas, Kansas, Illinois, South Dakota, Montana and New York.

Cabela’s, based in Sidney, Nebraska, now operates 64 stores across North America and has announced plans to open another 21 locations over the next three years. In addition to Sun Prairie, it has three other Wisconsin stores, in Ashwaubenon, Richfield and Prairie du Chien.
