Former Green Bay Packer quarterback Brett Favre and offensive lineman Mark Tauscher will play with Wisconsin natives Steve Stricker and Andy North in a 9-hole scramble event on June 25 at the PGA Tour Champions American Family Insurance Championship in Madison.
The foursome will tee off on the 10th hole at University Ridge Golf Course, at approximately 2 p.m. CT, following the final tournament group for the day.
Favre played 16 seasons in Green Bay, leading the Packers to a win in Super Bowl XXXI. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on the first ballot in February.
Tauscher played 134 games over 11 seasons for the Packers from 2000-10. He is a co-owner of Red Card Meal Plan in Madison, a football broadcaster and University of Wisconsin graduate.
“I am excited to be a part of this unique event and thrilled to bring my high handicap to the group with Brett, Steve and Andy,” Tauscher said.
Stricker, a Madison resident, has won 12 times on the PGA Tour and will serve as the tournament's host. North is also a Madison resident and two-time winner of the U.S. Open.
