UW football question of the week

UW has a shot at setting the school record for fewest turnovers in a season. Can it follow through?

After nine games, the Badgers have seven giveaways (two fumbles, five interceptions). According to available records, the standard is 10 set in 1998 (five fumbles, five interceptions) over 12 games.

That '98 squad, which won the Big Ten Conference title and the Rose Bowl, also lost the fewest fumbles in program history for one season.

On the flip side, UW has forced only 11 turnovers. The fewest for one season is 19 set in 2007 (13 games), 1971 (11 in games) and 1964 (nine games).
