Starting defensive end David Gilbert, who leads the UW defense with three sacks, will miss the game Saturday with a broken foot, according to a source close to Gilbert.

Gilbert apparently suffered the injury this week and is expected to miss six to eight weeks.

Junior Brendan Kelly is the team's third defensive end and would likely start in Gilbert's place. Another option is sophomore Pat Muldoon, who is listed as Gilbert's backup. Muldoon missed the game against Northern Illinois two weeks ago with a dislocated elbow, before returning on a limited basis last week. He is full go this week.
