Ventura scored the game-winning run after he entered the game as a pinch runner and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt.

Isan Castillo scored on a wild pitch and Christopher De La Cruz scored on a single in the first inning and De La Cruz scored on an error in the third to give the DSL Nationals a 3-2 lead. The DSL Mets1 came back to take a 4-3 lead in the third inning when Freddy Valdez hit a two-run home run.

DSL Nationals regained the lead 5-4 after it scored two runs in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Bryanth Sanchez and an out.

DSL Mets1 tied the game 5-5 in the sixth when Mario Paiva hit an RBI single, bringing home Fernando Villalobos.

Reliever Jose Valerio (6-2) picked up the win after he struck out one over one scoreless inning. Luis Jimenez (3-2) went 2 1/3 innings, allowing one run and four hits in the Dominican Summer League game. He also struck out three and walked one.

Valdez homered and doubled, driving home two runs in the win. Paiva singled twice, also stealing a base.
