TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Kevin Alcantara hit a run-scoring single in the fifth inning, leading the GCL Yankees East to a 4-3 win over the GCL Yankees West on Friday.

The single by Alcantara came in the midst of a three-run inning and gave the GCL Yankees East a 3-2 lead. Later in the inning, Alcantara scored on a wild pitch.

In the top of the sixth, GCL Yankees West cut into the lead on a wild pitch that scored Sincere Smith.

Starter Luis Ojeda (1-1) got the win while Edward Paredes (3-4) took the loss in relief in the Gulf Coast League game.

Kyle MacDonald doubled and singled twice, driving in two runs for the GCL Yankees West.
