For example, Supervisor Cindy Chavez of Santa Clara County, helped rally her county to aid those most vulnerable to COVID-19 and Karen Fegely, the Deputy Commerce Director at City of Philadelphia, aided businesses hit by lockdowns with much-needed grants.

After over a year and a half of lockdowns, face coverings and now mask mandates, the American notion of freedom has been challenged as we know it, but not for the first time. During the Revolutionary War, the country’s troops were falling not at the hands of the British, but from deadly smallpox. A look at what the Foundering Fathers did in the past and what they would think of today's pandemic and how they would handle its spread. 

Eric G. Otto Jr., 17, of the 3300 block of Spring Street in Mount Pleasant, and Adam B. Herring, 15, of the 1200 block of Ninth Street in Racine, were arrested Wednesday. Herring was charged Friday with attempted first-degree intentional homicide — a felony — and Herring and Otto were charged with felony counts of possession of a firearm on school grounds. Both are charged as adults.
