About Porta Bella
The menu, as always, has a wide price range to accommodate students with $10 in their checking account and former students who now have jobs but remember being young and impressed with all the velvet and fringed finery at Porta Bella. Service is consistently efficient, with a curious mix of grandeur (cocktails shaken tableside, well-spoken servers) and campus informality (silverware wrapped in a napkin and plopped anywhere on a table that can be easily wiped down).
