About Monroe Street Arts Center

COVID-19 Specific Information and Services

We have taken all our private music lessons, art classes, and Music Together sessions online until further notice. You can go to our website at to check out the programs. We also have our own YouTube channel now with FREE videos that go along with art kits we are selling. We understand the importance of keeping positive and creative during this chaotic time. Meanwhile, construction continues on our new space so, once we are able to be out and about, we will have a big celebration together!

The Monroe Street Arts Center’s (MSAC) mission is to engage a community of learners in exploring the arts and developing the creative self. Through interactive and intergenerational art and music experiences, we believe students will expand their creative abilities. To do so, we feel strongly that we need to create a supportive and safe environment for creative self-expression. Whether you learn to express yourself as a toddler in our Music Together class, learn an instrument in a private music class, or experiment with various artistic mediums in any number of group art classes, you will learn art/music theory, philosophy, concepts, and techniques. We have over sixteen different kinds of art programs and over ten varieties of music programs for students ages two months on up to our elders. We teach around 600 individual students a year with a total annual enrollment of 4,000. Our families come from all over Dane County. We'd love to have you join us.
