I have been driving for over 50 years, and our roads are in the worst condition ever. Even the old washboard gravel roads were better than what we have now.
So I would like to give a big shoutout to former Gov. Scott Walker, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester, Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, and all the Republicans in the Legislature who kicked the can down the road for eight tortuous years. And now they blame Gov. Tony Evers for raising taxes. That is not leadership, it's cowardice.
As Republican lawmakers sit on its their throne defying the will of Wisconsinites, they must remember they wouldn't be in power if not for gerrymandering.
