I see U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Madison, voted "no" on the Keystone pipeline, going along with President Barack Obama. U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson voted "yes" for the project.
Baldwinās "no" vote was based on her concern about risks involved with the project. Of course there are risks involved. Since the beginning of time, humans have created things with many risks. But there have been many rewards from doing so.
Driving a car can be a risk, but we do it. Flying in aircraft is a risk, but we do it. Miners take risks every day, and if they didnāt we would not have hundreds of minerals that help us live every day. Thousands of the things we enjoy today had risks, but we did them.
Had we not taken risks, we would still be living in a cave and building a fire at the entrance to keep out the wild animals. Does Sen. Baldwin live in a cave?
