Disney+ Reaches 4-Year Subscriber Goal In 14 Months
Disney+ has reached 94.9 million subscribers in just 14 months. The news means that Disney has reached its original 90 million subscriber target 3 years early. Disney announced the news in its earnings report for Q1. The company gained eight million more subscribers since December. In December Disney announced a revised four-year plan for the service, aiming for 230 - 260 million subscribers by 2024. These figures also only include subscribers as of January 2. The number may grow even further following the release of Wandavison on January 15. Despite the news, Disney is still far behind the streaming king Netflix, which has 200 million subscribers worldwide.
