Kids on Madison's East and West Sides will soon be splashing through the end of summer.
Splash parks are set to open in Reindahl and Elver Parks, with the grand opening for the Reindahl splash park on Friday and the Elver splash park opening on Aug. 13.
Reindahl Park is at 1818 Portage Road, and Elver Park is at 1250 McKenna Boulevard.
The two new splash parks feature interactive spray toys and fountains for kids of all ages. The parks are free.
"These splash parks are welcome additions to Reindahl and Elver Parks, and will provide a fun and safe activity for children and families," said Madison Mayor Paul Soglin in a news release.
Madison Parks has a third splash park, the Cypress SprayPark, located on the South Side.
The new splash parks were built through support from the Madison Community Foundation, Oscar Rennebohm Foundation, Evjue Foundation and American Family Insurance, along with other businesses and contributors.
