PLATTEVILLE—Laura T. Rauch, age 90, of Platteville, formerly of Cassville, passed away Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, at Manor Care in Platteville. She was born Sept. 11, 1927, in Cassville Township, the daughter of Philip and Sarah (Rogers) Giesen. Laura graduated from Cassville High School and married Carson Rauch on Nov. 27, 1947, in Cassville. In her free time she enjoyed bowling, fishing on the Mississippi, crocheting, sewing, walking, reading, playing cards, traveling, and spending time on her computer.
Laura is survived by her daughters, Carol Rauch and Corrine Rauch; a son-in-law, Dan Cooper; two grandchildren, Kim (Dale) Feiner and Shawn Cooper; one great-granddaughter, Nicole Feiner; a brother, Robert (Gloria) Giesen; sisters-in-law, Darlene Giesen, Gretchen (Ray) Lawrence, and Florence Kafar; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Carson; a daughter, Catherine Cooper; a grandson, Steven Cooper; four brothers, Thomas, William, Arthur, and Donald Giesen; a sister, Eunice Hauk; and a special friend, Keith Adrian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at ST. CHARLES CATHOLIC CHURCH in Cassville with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Cassville. Family and friends may call on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at ST. CHARLES CATHOLIC CHURCH from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville is serving the family.
