MADISON - Franklyn "Lyn" Oyler of Madison left us unexpectedly on Jan. 15, 2016, at the age of 69, after suffering a heart attack. Lyn was born in Flushing, N.Y. on Aug. 18, 1946, to Franklyn and Marjorie (Barr) Oyler, and spent the majority of his youth in Michigan. He attended Kemper Military School in Boonville, Mo., and Western Michigan University before first moving to Florida, and finally settling in Madison, Wis. Lyn enjoyed a career in health care sales and his passions included bragging about his sons and spending time with family and friends. He is remembered for his generosity, kindness, and rich sense of humor.

He is survived by his sons, Michael (Laci) Oyler and Geoffrey Oyler; grandson, Davis Oyler; and ex-wife, Andrea "Candy" Grossman Oyler (Arnie Benardette). In addition, he will be dearly missed by his family in Florida, and many friends and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Feb, 28, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at BABE'S, 5614 Schroeder Road. All family, friends, and colleagues touched by his life are invited to celebrate. In lieu of flowers, donations to your local food pantry for a memorial gift would be most appreciated. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of the friends who have reached out to offer their condolences.
