On March 12, Wisconsin Health News hosted a panel discussion on what's next for Medicaid in Wisconsin. Jim Jones, state Medicaid director, discussed what the $45 million proposed in the Governor's budget for community health would address in regards to social determinants of health. "Nutrition, housing, economics, social connectedness, all of these things, according to one study, have a 40 percent impact on our health care outcomes. That is actually larger than the access issue," Jones said.
