"Youth use of e-cigarettes is skyrocketing. 1 in 5 Wisconsin high school students has used an e-cigarette in the last 30 days," said Megan Piper, lead researcher at the UW Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention, at this week's Evidence-Based Health Policy Project briefing on the recent outbreak of vaping-related injuries. The briefing also focused on the research on other potential long-term health impacts of vaping and e-cigarette use.
