WisEye Morning Minute: Governor's Task Force on Climate Change
"Projections show that Wisconsin should warm by another 2 to 8 degrees Fahrenheit by 2050...no matter how we evolve as a global society, by 2050 we can be planning for this...by 2100, there's a lot more uncertainty in this scenario," said Dan Vimont, co-chair of the Wisconsin Initiative on Climate Change Impacts. Presenting at the first meeting of the Governor's Task Force on Climate Change, Vimont details Wisconsin's changing climate by outlining the 2 to 3 degree temperature increase over the last century following global trends, and how it is impacting the winter season and precipitation trends for the state.
