On March 5, Governor Tony Evers addressed the media's questions about his recent budget address and what priorities he'd like to see agreement on from the Republicans in their budget proposal. "I had a budget that we proposed recently that asked for some major investments in [the areas of education, transportation and health care], and I would hate to be put in a position, and I don't think the state legislature wants to be in that position, with the governor vetoing an entire budget. I will do that if it is extraordinarily bad for our state...I feel confident at the end of the day we will have a good budget and a good result for the people of Wisconsin," Gov. Evers said.
