On June 11, Assembly Speaker Rep. Robin Vos (R-Rochester), discussed budget and the Republican priorities for health care. Rep. Vos responded to the question about compromising on the budget in regards to health care, and if an Evers' veto of the entire budget would change the Republican's stance. "If for some reason Governor Evers vetoes the entire budget, I assume that some of the [health care] increases that we had given would be harder to get through a second time." The increases that were included in the Republican's health care budget include: $8 million for rural critical care hospitals, $37 million for family care, and $48 million additional increase for nursing care homes.
