Try 3 months for $3

A Monroe radio station had wire and components taken from its tower last week, but the suspected thief was arrested with help from a salvage dealer.

Paul Rose, 29, Carencro, Louisiana, was tentatively charged with felony theft, the Green County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

The theft was reported on Oct. 9 from the WEKZ radio tower site on Franklin Road.

"An area salvage dealer was able to identify Rose and provide vehicle information that led to an address in Gratiot," said Sheriff Mark Rohloff.

Gratiot is in Lafayette County, about 20 miles west of Monroe. Lafayette County deputies assisted in the investigation.
